According to police report, victims Ludy Deocampo, 33 and Sonny Alba, 55, both residents of Brgy. Tuburan died after they shot each other following a confrontation in a videoke station located near the town’s public plaza. Reports said that a certain Rudy Ernesto was belting his song at the videoke station when Alba arrived and was annoyed with the way Ernesto sang the song.
The two had an argument which ended with Alba pistol-whipping Ernesto with his .38 caliber on the face. Deocampo tried to intervene but Alba shot him in the leg. Deocampo, then, took his .22 caliber and shot back at Alba several times. Alba died on the spot while Deocampo died while on the way to Bailan District Hospital in Pontevedra town.
The police didn’t recover the two firearms used by the victims. The bodies will be put under post-mortem exam.
