MARTINEZ KILLERS STAYED IN BANGA, AKLAN?

ACCORDING to intelligence report, the four killers of Vice Mayor Abel Martinez of Mambusao, Capiz briefly stayed at the house of Mayor Anton Maming of Banga, Aklan. We hope it is not true. The identities of the suspects have been identified by Roger Loredo, self-confessed participant to the criminal offense. He executed an affidavit detailing how they gunned down the vice mayor in the early morning of May 6, 2012 outside his residence. If true that they sought refuge in Mayor Maming’s house, does the latter have some knowledge as to the criminal activities of the dangerous group? What about the role of a certain Philippine Army intelligence officer Rommel Pamotillo (now based at the Army headquarters in Fort Bonifaco)? Did he really recruit Loredo, Gilbie Principe and two other John Does? In his affidavit, Loredo also implicated contractor Leodegario Labao, mayoral candidate in ambusao. But the big question is: Who is the alleged big politician who recruited the Army officer? As the investigation goes deeper, the mystery is about to unfold. Abangan! SHARON MARTINEZ VS LABAO IN MAMBUSAO SHARON Martinez, daughter of slain Vice Mayor Abel Martinez, is on the warpath fighting the alleged mastermind in the killing of her father in the warfront of politics. Her opponent is billionaire contractor Leodegario Labao, who is associated with congressional candidate Fredenil Castro. Castro’s political organization in the 2nd District of Capiz is considered monolithic. Sympathy, a Filipino trait, favors the lady candidate. But Labao, who denied participation in the crime, believes otherwise. Sharon is well supported by Inday Judy, the Capiz matriarch who calls the shots in the province’s politics. If a warrant of arrest is issued against Labao, Inday Sharon’s campaign will smoothly go unhindered. TIDBITS 1) BOY Mejorada has written Region 6 Police Director Agrimero Cruz Jr. that at a birthday party recently held at Ocean City, six police officers served as Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog’s bodyguards. Boy wondered why because there is a standing order from the Philippine National Police headquarters recalling all police security escorts. He said the mayor also violated the Commission on Elections rule on the matter. 2) MAYOR MARY Andaya, who is running for congresswoman in the 2nd District of Capiz against former congressman Fred Castro, is getting wide support from various local leaders, including those from civic and religious organizations. She is very hopeful she will win. 3) THERE is no truth to the rumor that contractor Leodegario Labao has withdrawn from the mayoral race in Mambusao, Capiz because of a criminal case he faces. On the other hand, he told some media men in Capiz he will remain steadfast in his resolve to finish the race and fight to the end
