Roxas City eyes sisterhood pact with Quezon City

By: Gerry T. Pagharion and Jomarie A. Billones ROXAS City – The Roxas City government and business community met Quezon City officials Monday to finalize their sisterhood pact. The delegation was led by Mayor Angel Alan B. Celino, Vice Mayor Ronnie Dadivas and members of the City Council In a resolution passed February 19, 2013, the City Council said the partnership initiative with Quezon City “establishes bond of brotherhood between each party’s government and people through reciprocal cultural, educational, business, professional and technical exchanges and projects.” The Sister-City Cooperation will promote and expand an effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in the development of both cities, within the limits of their financial, technical capabilities in the following sectors: environment, human resources and community development, science and technology, education and sports, tourism development, trade and other sectors that shall be mutually agreed upon by the parties A ceremonial signing of the sisterhood agreement will be held April 15, 2013 here during the Capiztahan Festiva
