BONGA COVERED GYM. A covered gym worth P1.5 million was turned over to the residents of Brgy. Bonga, Panay, Capiz on Saturday. A similar infrastructure was also put up in Brgy. Buntod, Panay.
PANAY, Capiz — Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Jonathan Besa has turned over two covered gyms in barangays Bonga and Buntod here on Saturday.
Officials from Bonga, led by Barangay Captain Luis Asis, and Buntod, led by Barangay Captain Hernanie Buenavides, received the projects from Besa.
The covered gyms — worth P1.5 million each — were funded under the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of Interior and Local Government Secretary Manuel “Mar” Roxas II.
These infrastructures were among the priority projects of Besa.
Present with the Board member during the turnover ceremony were candidates for Sangguniang Bayan (SB) members Lito Baria, Allan Bermejo, Naselito Bernales, Romeo Besana, Joepre “Otay” Burgos, Christian Theodor Mejia and Blas Nolasco.
Besa is seeking the mayoralty post in this town in the mid-term elections next year under the Liberal Party.
Amy Asis-Bermejo, who was also present during the ceremony, will be his running mate.
