ROXAS City — A 17-year-old girl was apprehended for possessing an illegal substance while visiting her 50-year-old lover in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology lockup cell here on Saturday.
The minor was immediately taken to the Roxas City police station.
Senior Jail Officer I Alma Loberes, who was searching the inmates’ visitors, found in the wallet of the minor a sachet of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) wrapped in a P20 bill.
The girl admitted to owning the alleged illegal drug.
She said she was bringing the substance to her lover, who was arrested two months ago on charges of selling illegal drugs.
The girl said she and her lover had been in a relationship for a year now.
Police said the inmate was collared by elements of the Regional and Provincial Special Operations Groups in a buy-bust operation on Taft Street here in October.
Items recovered from the suspect included four sachets of shabu, a mobile phone, a motorcycle and the P1,000 marked money.
