ROXAS City — A businessman was shot to death by suspects onboard a motorcycle in Brgy. Banica here yesterday.
Edwin Loyola succumbed to fatal gunshot wounds on the back, Senior Supt. Salvador Dagoon Jr., city police chief, confirmed.
Loyola was driving a tricycle — onboard were his live-in partner, Mary Jane Cordovero, and their six-year-old child — when attacked, Dagoon said.
Cordovero and the child were unhurt, the city police chief said.
According to Cordovero, two men clad in jackets and helmets drove to their side while they were traversing the road in Brgy. Banica.
She later heard a number of gunshots and was surprised to find her live-in partner peppered with bullets.
Loyola died while he was being rushed to the hospital, police said.
Investigation on the case in ongoing.
