ROXAS City – A father is blaming the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital (RMPH) for the death of his six-year-old son.
Jenfred Aranzado of Brgy. Majanlud, Sapian, Capiz fell from a tree on the morning of New Year’s Eve and sustained severe abdominal injuries.
According to Rene Aranzado, the father, they first rushed the boy to the Capiz Doctors’ Hospital but they were asked by the private hospital to first make a P30,000 downpayment.
Having no such money, the father said, they proceeded to the RMPH.
But no doctor entertained them, claimed Aranzado.
The father said some nurses merely check the boy’s vital signs.
He believed his son would have survived the injuries he sustained from the fall had doctors of RMPH attended to him.
Previously, Gov. Victor Tanco vowed to investigate the alleged non-accommodation of RMPH of a two-week-old baby from Dao, Capiz suffering from pneumonia.
Dr. Ma. Celini Bauson, RMPH chief, vowed to investigate these two cases.
In another story, an ex-convict was shot dead inside his house in Brgy. Codingle, Dumarao, Capiz on Saturday afternoon.
The police immediately launched a manhunt against the suspect that shot Apal Barrios in his house near the public market.
Witnesses said the suspect shot Barrios without any provocation.
Barrios had been linked to a string of criminal incidents in the past.
