Capiz voters up to 456T

ROXAS City — The number of registered voters in Capiz increased to an estimated 456,360 after the voters registration ended on October 31, records from the local Commission on Elections office showed. In this capital city, the number of voters increased to 92,615, which could be equivalent to four towns. 

Following are the 16 municipalities in the province and their respective number of voters:

* Pilar – 26,200 
* Pontevedra – 27,040 
* President Roxas – 16,072 SECOND DISTRICT 
* Cuartero – 17,505 
* Dao – 19,552 
* Dumalag – 21,349 
* Dumarao – 25,769 
* Ivisan – 17,524 
* Jamindan – 22,382 
* Mambusao – 25,500 
* Tapaz – 30,030 
* Sapian – 17,911 
* Sigma – 19,361

In the 2010 elections, the province registered some 425,627 voters, but the figures increased to 436,375 on October 15 this year, said Wil Arceño, provincial election supervisor. The number may only decrease if someone files an exclusion proceeding against somebody he perceives to be a “flying voter,” he said.
