Shooting spree kills boy, 13

BY FELIPE CELINO ROXAS City — A 13-year-old boy died in a shooting incident in Sitio Santa Ana, Brgy. Binuntucan, Pontevedra town. Ricardo Billones Jr. happened to pass by two men who engaged in an exchange of gunfire, police said. Billones was a second year high school student.

 He lived in Brgy. Santa Fe, Pilar. He was taken to the Bailan District Hospital but died upon arrival. He succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds. Investigation disclosed that Ernesto Bejo Jr. and Roberto Bejo Jr., both of Brgy. Binuntucan, and Alex Bacence alias “Padoy,” 50, of Brgy. Yatingan, Pontevedra, were binge drinking when a heated argument ensued among them. Bacence got angry with Ernesto, pulled out a gun and peppered him with bullets. He also shot Roberto when the latter tried to help, police said. Ernesto and Roberto sustained gunshot wounds in the different parts of their body.

 They were rushed to the Bailan District Hospital for treatment. Bacence managed to flee, police said. The caliber of the firearm he used remained undetermined, they added.
